New Production Brewery

Revolution Brewing is excited to announce the groundbreaking for our new production brewery at 3340 N. Kedzie.   Following the sucessful opening and expansion of our brewpub, we are now building a large facility to brew and package Revolution beers for sale in stores, restaurants and bars across Chicagoland.  The new location will also have a large tap room open to the public where you will be able to drink a pint, take a tour and pick up cases and kegs to go.  We're posting more pictures on our Facebook page.

Take a virtual tour here.

New Brewery FAQ:

1. When is brewing expected to commence? When can we expect to see packaged products on store shelves?
The brewery will tentatively be brewing in April so package goods of 22oz bottles will be available in May of 2012. We hope Package goods of 12oz cans in 6 pk and 12 pk will be available in July.

2. What will be the brewing capacity of the new brewery?
45 to 60 barrels per batch.  We'll have enough tanks at the start to brew 25,000 barrels a year and we have left space for lots more tanks to grow over time.

3. How many sq. feet is the new facility?
50,000 square feet

4. Which brands will be distributed regularly? What limited releases can we expect?
All year long: Anti-Hero IPA: draft and can, Eugene Porter: draft and can, Organic Bottom Up Wit: draft and can.
Specialty: Rosa Hibiscus Ale: draft and can, Oktoberfest Revolution: draft and can, Fistmas Ale: draft and can.
Specialty: Coup D’etat Saison: draft and 22oz bottle, Double Fist: draft and 22oz bottle and Mad Cow: draft and 22oz bottle.

That's just a start of course.

5. What will be available at the new tap room? Can we get kegs?
Revolution Brewing Beers only because that's what our state liquor license allows. No guest beers, wine, liquor or food. Yes you can purchase kegs

6. Will year-round beers such as Anti-hero IPA be brewed at the production facility and brought to the pub, or will the pub continue to brew their own?
The pub will definitely continue to brew most of the beer sold there, but we may transfer some barrels over there and vice versa.

7. Who among the brewing staff will be relocating to Kedzie and who will remain at the pub?
Jim Cibak will be the Head Brewer at Kedzie and Wil Turner Head Pub Brewer at Milwaukee

8. When can we expect to hear about employment opportunities?
February.  We'll post openings on the website then, so please don't email us beforehand.

9. Are investment opportunities still available?
No

10. Will packaged beer be available for sale at the brewpub?
We're not sure about that.

11. How far do you intend to distribute initially? Long term projections?
We'll be selling our beer in the Chicago Metro Area first and foremost. We've got visions of growth beyond that, but nothing is firmed up yet.

12. Why cans?
Why not? We like drinking out of cans. Cans are recycled at higher rates than glass, keep out light, are lightweight, and outdoor friendly. Plus you can smash a can on your head and build a beer-a-mid with them. Plus our art work is kick ass and it wraps all the way around.
