OCTOBER 3 DEEP WOOD RELEASE PARTY
Join us for a haunting Deth release party featuring Deth’s Tar, Café Deth, and Vanilla Deth. Carry home the magic of our draft-only release variants with our Twenty Ten Variant of Cocoa Vanilla Deth. Seeing as it’s spooky season, we’re partnering with our friends at Bucket o’ Blood to bring the Halloween vibe (hint: frightful flicks, macabre music, and various tricks-and-treats), and we’ll have an exclusive horror-themed shirt on sale. Dark Matter will be in the house serving up pour-over coffee, and Smoky Soul will be slinging BBQ and other eats to sate your hunger. The Taproom will be set up for trick-or-treating, so costumes are encouraged! The fun starts at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 3.
THE EXCLUSIVE DRAFT VARIANTS
Our Barrel team is also excited to bring you some exclusive variants, available only at the Taproom during the release:
Vanille Du Fou:
Single Barrel — This extra malty variation on Deth’s Tar was aged in a Barton’s 1792 “Sweet Wheat” bourbon barrel for one year, with a double shot of “extreme vanilla” convection-toasted French oak. Vanilla and chocolate rise from the glass with each swirl, and a wave of oak tannin restrains an otherwise assertive expression of chocolatey malt after each sip.
Vanilla Mocha Deth:
It doesn’t come in tall or venti, and you can’t substitute soy or oat milk. If you ask real nice the bartender might misspell your name on the cup though (not really). Dialing up the playfulness and accessibility, this variant tips its cap to all four October 2025 Deep Wood packaged releases in a single glass.
Stoopermassive Reserve:
This single barrel of extra-malty Deth’s Tar rested on fourteen pounds of freshly roasted whole bean El Salvadorian coffee from Dark Matter for twenty four hours, producing a strong cold brew coffee out of beer rather than water. This über aggressive coffee treatment is balanced by heaps of chocolatey malt, providing subtle mocha vibes without the nibs. And yes, it contains caffeine.
