Our bourbon barrel-aged Imperial Porter, E. Norma Gene, will be tapped at the Kedzie Tap Room on Thursday, June 1.
This is a bourbon barrel-aged version of our Hugene (Imperial Porter), and it tastes exactly like it sounds. This is a very complex beer with an initial caramel flavor and sweetness upfront that slowly melts away right before the tidal wave of chocolate malt character crashes over you. A smooth silky mouthfeel from the residual malt sugars yields remarkably drinkable ale.
