For fifteen years, the Deep Wood Series has been our proving ground—where bold ideas, patient aging, and uncompromising flavor come together in every pour. It's not just a lineup of barrel-aged beers—it's a shared experience built on creativity, community, and the kind of brewing ambition that never settles.
Thanks to your continued support, we get to keep pushing boundaries and chasing what's possible in a barrel. Every pour, every can, and every red star raised in celebration carries the spirit of a community that’s grown alongside us through fifteen years of heart-driven, boldly ambitious brewing.
Now, it's time for the next chapter.
The 2025–26 Deep Wood season is about to begin, and this year’s lineup is nothing short of a knockout. We say it every single time, and we mean it: you’re not going to want to miss what’s coming.
So let’s get into it.
The first stop on golden-oak road kicks this thing off with a BANG—that is with the much anticipated release of Fifteen Year Beer. Very few beers are as representative of both our most disciplined and ostentatious tendencies. The fusion of extended-aged, double barreled Straight Jacket and Ryeway to Heaven, each embellished with French oak, is then finished with a surgical strike of sweet and tart cherries. Made in collaboration with Binny’s Beverage Depot is the third re-awakening of Thundertaker. Built for body, barrel, and a boldly sweet finish, this Imperial Rye Stout is a fan-favorite for a reason. What’s a Summer Deep Wood release without a little fruited fervor? Strawberry Jacket is back and dialed-in to perfection. Creme brûlée sweetness duets with fresh strawberries for a symphony of luscious delicacies.
But that’s not all—The return of the Twenty Ten Variant Collection gives us the amazing opportunity to bring to you a lavish rendition of our anniversary beer by hitting it with the 'ol Cherry + Amburana treatment. 15 Year Beer Cherry Amburana will be available in a 19.2-ounce can and is included with the purchase of a season Ticket. Season Ticket Holders will also be gifted a bonus 19.2-ounce can of Deth’s Tar (2024) which is coming off of its recent Bronze-Medal recognition at the most prestigious beer competition in the world: World Beer Cup.
What's a Season Ticket? Check the bottom of this thread for more information.
After a short hiatus to enjoy everything the sunshine has to offer, the ides of October creep through, and with it a bountiful harvest of some of Deth’s finest. The 2025 installment of Deth’s Tar Imperial Oatmeal Stout promises the same incredible blend-profile it imparts year after year. Meanwhile, Café Deth also returns alongside with another hand-selected coffee blend from our friends at Dark Matter. Capping off what can only be described as Deth-a-palooza is the dessert oasis of Vanilla Deth. Hand-split, whole vanilla beans are met with “vanilla toasted” French oak to establish an exceptionally silky body that blends harmoniously with the chocolatey caramel maltiness and rich oak.
From the Twenty Ten Collection—Cocoa Vanilla Deth will be dropping in its imposing 19.2-ounce format. If you’re into the unholy union of a chocolate vanilla swirl, try adding some exceptional bourbon-barrel notes to the mix and just see what happens…I’ll wait.
Cocoa Vanilla Deth is not included as part of the Season Ticket, but Season Ticket Holders will have an opportunity to purchase our Twenty Ten Collection Booster Pack sale in October or through presale access for all of our releases 24 hours before public sale (more information below).
Fresh takes on stone cold classics is the tune we’re singing for our November lineup. Straight Jacket promises to continue its long withstanding world tour of face-melting barrel expression as the pinnacle of bourbon barrel-aged barleywine. Alongside Straight Jacket, we feature the return of a familiar dram that’s just a Wee Heavy. Gravedigger Billy emerges with claymore in hand, promising a tartan of fine Scottish malt interwoven with classic American Oak. Finally, we decided it was time to give a fresh take on beer that’s defined the Ryewine category for so many years. Apple Brandy Barrel Ryeway is a playfully explorative rendition of our colossal Ryeway to Heaven. As the name suggests, this rye behemoth is aged in American apple brandy barrels to lend a slightly sweeter blend. This leaves more room for the wondrously expressive spirit to shine like a well-polished bundle of red delicious. “Something, something apples…something, something gravity…” or whatever Isaac Newton said.
Rum V.S.O.J. is also making its debut in the 19.2-ounce Twenty Ten Collection. Waves upon waves of perfectly-charred rum barrel carries a jaunty lullaby of sweet caramel that’s keeled alongside the insanity of an extended-aged barleywine. What will you do with a drunken sailor?
Rum V.S.O.J. is not included as part of the Season Ticket, but Season Ticket Holders will have an opportunity to purchase our Twenty Ten Collection Booster Pack sale in October or through presale access for all of our releases 24 hours before public sale (more information below).
January 2026 leads to the grand finale of a stellar season with the addition of Dethurana and the return of Mineshaft Gap. The former, an exotic reimagining of the famed Deth’s Tar, aged in young Brazilian amburana barrels. Sweet baking spices provide a sophisticated sipping experience for anyone feeling nostalgic for a certain toasty, crunchy cereal. Meanwhile, the latter is a cult-classic emerging for the first time since 2020. Heeding shelter in Cognac barrels for 12 months, expect rich and storied French oak complexities. The perfect beer for the best of times or the end of times.
We will also be releasing TWO final variants from our Twenty Ten Collection in January 2026. The first is a 19.2-ounce can of Barleywinery D.B.X.O.J. La Cerise. Double Barreled V.S.O.J. is finished in French cherry liqueur barrels. The same bourbon-barrel juggernaut is kissed with a gently elevated cherry-profile to provide additional intricacies. Finally, our friends at Surly in Minneapolis lend a hand with a brooding 19.2-ounce variant inspired by both of our flagship stouts. Sur Lie is a stout blend aged in bourbon barrels and finished on freshly emptied red wine barrel lees for added depth and complexity.
Sur lie… get it?
Both Barleywinery D.B.X.O.J Le Cerise. & Sur Lie are not included as part of the Season Ticket, but Season Ticket Holders will have an opportunity to purchase our Twenty Ten Collection Booster Pack sale in October or through presale access for all of our releases 24 hours before public sale (more information below).
