Raise a Beer and Funds to Keep Logan Square’s History Alive

07.25.16

For the second year, Chicago-based concept and project development studioLand and Sea Dept. is collaborating with Revolution Brewing and Logan Square Preservation on a limited-edition beer called Monument. The release of Monument will raise funds for Logan Square Preservation.

Monument is a special draft-only beer that will be available at Revolution’s brewpub and tap room starting today, and at other participating locations around Logan Square over the next month, including Land and Sea Dept.’s Longman & Eagle and Parson’s Chicken & Fish (see a full list of participating venues below below). For each pint of Monument sold, $1 will be donated to Logan Square Preservation, a 501©3 not-for-profit organization.

Monument is an extra pale, smooth bodied, American Wheat Ale, using 2‑row, Red Wheat, Carafoam malt and flaked oats along with an English Ale yeast. This highly drinkable and refreshing ale, clocking in at 5.5% ABV and 30 IBU, was brewed with Apollo and Amarillo hops, and then dry-hopped with Centennial and Amarillo, locking in citrus aromas and flavors.Last year’s Monument Brew raised funds that facilitated the cleaning of the Logan Square Monument, which stands in the center of the neighborhood. Join us in another summer of supporting a local non-profit that keeps our community beautiful – and rich in history and culture.
