CHICAGO’S REVOLUTION BREWING EXPANDS DISTRIBUTION TO MASSACHUSETTS

Oct. 9, 2015 — CHICAGO — Revolution Brewing, Illinois’ largest craft brewery, will be increasing its distribution of Chicago-made craft beers to Massachusetts on Nov. 2. Taking Revolution to the Bay State extends the five-year-old company’s distribution to its farthest point to date, and Boston also happens to be Revolution Chairman of the Party Josh Deth’s hometown.

I’ve always wanted to bring our beers out to Massachusetts where I grew up,” says Deth, Chairman of the Party. With our brewery expansion almost complete, now is the right time.”

Since the end of September, limited quantities of the Illinois brewery’s beers have been on draft and on shelves at select retailers in the state via Massachusetts Beverage Alliance. The official launch of Revolution’s offerings include the popular Anti-Hero IPA, the Hero Series line of specialty IPAs, and the Deep Wood Series of barrel-aged beers.

This added distribution aligns with the arrival of a new 120-barrel brewhouse to be added to Revolution’s 90,000-square-foot Kedzie Avenue production facility.

The new brewhouse will be added to the existing 50-barrel brewhouse and will give the brewery a total production capacity of 180,000 barrels annually. The new equipment will be online near the end of 2015.

Revolution is one of the fastest growing breweries in the U.S. The company sold 50,000 barrels of beer in 2014 and is on pace to sell 65,000 barrels in 2015, well outpacing the craft segment.
