The copper-reddish hues and caramel-like notes in the nose of this medium-bodied ale are a result of Briess C80L malt. It imparts the malty, sweet character on the front of the palate, however, it is met mid-palate with a blast of hops. We use a blend of Centennial and Cascade hops (both whole and pellet) in the kettle, and it is double dry-hopped in the fermenter (Centennial/ Cascade) for a floral, fruity, fresh hop character. The beer finishes clean, with a medium-high hop bitterness.
