This is a British-inspired Brown Ale, so it is more full-bodied than the Working Man Mild, but less hoppy than the Working Woman. It has a deep brown hue, with a nutty, lightly roasted, caramel aroma, with mild esters in the background. Pale and Ashburne Mild provide a solid malt base, while the Victory malt adds biscuity notes, and the Dark Chocolate malt imparts the majority of the color, and the roastiness. The English Progress hops give the brew low hop bitterness, and a subtle hop balance, as this is a malt forward style. This was a collaboration beer created with the brewers from Eataly, and was designed to be a versatile style to go well with one of their dishes at the Revolution and Eataly Beer Dinner on Dec. 4, 2015.
