Horizontal Tango

We decided to break into a couple of barrels of our Belgian-style Dubbel (2 barrels out of 10…). It was aged for four months in Woodford Reserve barrels -- and yes, the barrels are stored in a horizontal position… The notes of dark fruit come through nicely, and the caramel notes present in the base beer stand up well to the wood character. We will release the rest of the Horizontal Tango after about six months, and we can do a vertical tasting!
