It's always a bummer when barrels leak, especially when you've only got a few of a specific variety. A little over a year ago, we scored 8 Woodford Reserve smoked malt whiskey barrels to age four different beers in. Sadly, the two we’d filled with Gravedigger Billy wound up leaking. Fortunately, we had a few spare fresh Heaven Hill bourbon barrels and the beer was saved. Now with double the oak and spirit character, Double Barrel Billy is a subtly smoky Scottish bruiser.
