Smash the Windows

We brewed this beer with SouthSide folk rockers The Tossers. The self-proclaimed ‘world’s loudest drinking band’ have been providing Chicago with awesome Celtic rock for 25 years! This is a smooth, medium-bodied Stout. It is referred to as a MILK STOUT because of the use of unfermentable Lactose in the brew to add to its sweetness and mouthfeel. We used a blend of 5 grains- including one of our favorite base malts from Malting Company Ireland, a blend of Roasted Barley and Midnight Wheat for the black color and coffee & chocolate notes in the flavor and aroma, and Simpsons Double Roasted Crystal, which provides a distinct rum-raisin sweetness… The stout faucet gives this brew a nice creamy head and a pleasant, silky palate.
