Pursuit of Freedom: Dragon Fruit

Pursuit of Freedom: Dragonfruit started when we learned the story of Jess Mitchell, a brewer and breast cancer previvor of Confluence Brewing in Des Moines, Iowa. After undergoing a double mastectomy, she developed Scars Are Beautiful, a collaboration to celebrate the journey and path to self-love, beauty, change, and continued growth. Breast cancer has impacted a number of members of the Revolution team, including our partners, family, and friends – leaving us with a desire to expand the impact we can make.

At our inaugural Freedom Fest in July 2022, the hit of the festival was a new Pursuit of Freedom featuring Dragon Fruit and featuring a gorgeous, bright pink hue. With its pear/melon sweetness and natural tartness, the most distinctive entry in our series of Session Sours joins Jess during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in her mission to normalize scars and celebrate body changes.

Sales of this beer will go to support the Karen Wellington Foundation and Can Do Cancer in Iowa.
