On Wednesday, July 26 our German-style Zoiglbier, ChiStar (pronounced scheister) is released at our brewpub and tap room.
Zoiglbier is a style that originated in a small Bavarian town around 1415. Pilsner, Dark Munich, and Carafa II malts give ChiStar (pronounced “scheister”) its reddish-orange hue, while small additions of Noble and Czech hop varieties lend an earthy spiciness and low bitterness.
