Rye Ale Aged in Rye and Bourbon Barrels
Owing to two years in premium rye whiskey barrels, this slightly sweeter blend of our Ryewine oozes with malt-derived complexities reminiscent of maple alongside enough oak to build a bedroom set. With a grist composed of over sixty percent rye, Very Special Old Ryeway is deceptively balanced given its massive body. Enjoy now or store cold.

Gravedigger Billy (2022)
Scotch Ale Aged in Bourbon Barrels
An old favorite from the early days of Revolution makes a return. This Bourbon Barrel-aged Scotch Ale, decked out in a fine tartan kilt, has a delicate smokiness alongside American oak and bourbon character. Pour a wee dram and let the brogue fly. Don’t be daft, enjoy now or store cold.

The public preorder for these beers will begin on our webstore starting Tuesday, January 25 for pickups starting Friday, January 28. Pickups will begin at noon, and the Taproom will be pouring the featured beers and exclusive draft variants. The Revolution Brewpub will also be pouring both release beers when it opens at 2 p.m. on Friday the 28th.

Apple Brandy V.S.O.R. — 12.5%
This sweet component Ryeway to Heaven spent two years in a pair of American oak ex-Apple Brandy barrels. A few pounds of prized single-origin French oak weave delicate earth and smoke essence into a mélange of maple, caramel, stone fruit, and pomme.
Peach Brandy V.S.O.R. — 13.0%
We’ve been itching to release this beer from the moment we first laid nostrils on this pair of peach brandy barrels, one a steely American oak ex-bourbon, and the other a luscious, soft, French oak ex-wine cask. Two agonizing years later this off-sweet component of Ryeway to Heaven layers stone fruit and maple betwixt a latticework of rye-imbued spice and firm, silken texture.
Sanctuary #14 — Double Barrel V.S.O. Boss Ryeway — 16.1%
This blend of sweet Ryewines were first aged in Armagnac and Woodford Double Oak barrels before being blended into a single Heaven Hill Bourbon barrel for a further forty months. Aromas of oak, dried stone fruit, and spice precede a wave of cherry pit, maple, and cocoa punctuated with a flash of tannin and alcohol.
Sanctuary #16 — Double Barrel X.O. Flak Jacket — 15.0%
A blend of batch one V.S.O.R. from a Woodford Double Oak barrel and V.S.O.J. dry component aged together for an additional forty months in a single Heaven Hill Bourbon barrel. Aromas of vanilla, baking spice, and American oak soar above a current of caramel, date, and maple.

- Q: Do I need to be vaccinated?
A: Only for bar service. In keeping with public health guidance, anyone coming for bar service during the release but show ID and proof of vaccination. We’ll have a pickup station indoors, and guests can pick up preorders without a vaccination card by entering through the 3350 N. Kedzie door. - Q: What time do the beers go on sale?
A: We don’t publish the exact time, but keep an eye on our webstore on the morning of Tuesday the 25th. - Q:Will you allow proxy pickups for this release?
A: Yes, we’re allowing proxies. Note yours on your preorder form. - Q: Will there be preview parties again?
A: Yes! Keep an eye on our feed for a roundup of events. - Q: What time does the Taproom open on release day?
A: The Taproom opens at 2 p.m. – not noon, as with the previous releases. The Brewpub (2323 N. Milwaukee) will also be open at 2 p.m. - Q: Can I pick up my preorder at the Brewpub?
A: Preorder pickups will only be available at the Taproom (3340 N. Kedzie) - Q: Will there be food at the release?
A: Cafe Tola will be selling food on Friday, and Arigato Market will be in the Taproom on Saturday. - Q: Is the Taproom release all ages?
A: This release is 21+ only on Friday. We’ll be back to all-ages on Saturday. - Q: Can I get a crowler of any of the variants?
A: Not right away. We’re hoping to get pours of these beers to as many folks as possible. We’ll update our social media when and if we start offering variant crowlers. - Q: Will the Brewpub be pouring the variants?
A: The Brewpub will be pour all three release beers, but will not have the variants on tap.
