About Executive order (BREWPUB & TAP ROOM):
We bumped up the gravity to be more like that of a barleywine this year, but twist is that this beast is made with 50% white wheat (and 50% 2row). Though there is malt sweetness up front, it is more reminiscent of honey-like notes versus the more caramel/toffee-like flavors of most barleywines. We wanted the hops to come through as well, and we used a good amount of Amarillo and Centennial at the end of boil, though we did not dry-hop it at all. About 2/3 of the batch went to bourbon barrels (Heaven Hill), and we’ll see that‑a.k.a. Filibuster- in about 6months…
ABV: 11.8% Draft-only.
about hop dust torture (BREWPUB RELEASE ONLY):
This American Pale Ale was hopped with Amarillo and Cascade in the whirlpool and Cascade in the dry hop to give it that classic American Pale Ale hop quality. It was brewed to be especially dry and crisp for easy summertime drinkability. Brewed in collaboration with Links Taproom to celebrate the band, Phish (the name is a reference to the song Chalk Dust Torture), this is a very limited run. It’s as if a classic west coast Pale Ale stopped by for a few quick shows before traveling on to the next town.
ABV: 5.4% Draft-only.
