Executive Order and hop Dust Torture Release

Date – May 30 Location — Brewpub, Tap Room  /  Chicago, IL
Time – All Day

Executive Order and Hop Dust Torture will be released on draft at the Revolution Brewpub and Tap Room on Wednesday, May 30.

About Executive order:

Essentially a barleywine, this all-malt beast is made with 50% white wheat. Though there is malt sweetness up front, it is more reminiscent of honey-like notes versus the more caramel/toffee-like flavors of a barleywine, and it has a bit less body. We wanted the hops to come through as well, and we used a good amount of Amarillo and Centennial at the end of boil, though we did not dry-hop it at all. About half of the batch went to bourbon and gin barrels. This beer was called Congressional Approval last year, went into barrels and turned into Filibuster, and then went on to win the GOLD MEDAL at FOBAB!

about hop dust torture:

An American Pale Ale brewed in collaboration with Links Taproom. Hop Dust Torture was hopped with Amarillo and Cascade in the whirlpool and Cascade in the dry hop to give it that classic American Pale Ale hop quality.  It was brewed to be especially dry and crisp for easy summertime drinkability.
