Former Chicago Tribune beer and travel writer, Josh Noel, will be joining us in the Brewers’ Lounge at the Brewpub on Wednesday, September 4th at 6:30 PM to discuss his newest book Malort: The Redemption of a Revered and Reviled Spirit.
From the author:
“The story of Malört is the unlikely redemption of an oddball liqueur, yes, but it is also a story of changing cultural tastes and how generations find meaning where the generations before did not. Above all it is a story of people and relationships — love, dedication, betrayal, heartbreak, disappointment and even prison. Through it all, Jeppson’s Malört survived — and then it thrived.“
Tickets are $12, and include a drink ticket for one featured Malort beverage.
‑Deth’s Gnar, a Malort barrel-aged stout
‑Chicago Fist Bump, a shot of Malort and Cold Time Premium Lager
−2−3 Malort cocktails, including a Malort slushie
Full bar options will be available for purchase as well.
The CH Distilling and RevBrew crews will be on hand with some really fun swag giveaways, too!
Books will be available for purchase at the event for $20. Please mention when purchasing your tickets if you are interested in buying a book at the event.
