Gravedigger Billy
An old favorite from the early days of Revolution makes a return. This bourbon barrel-aged Scotch Ale, decked out in a fine tartan kilt, has a delicate smokiness alongside American oak and bourbon character. Pour a wee dram and let the brogue fly. Don’t be daft, enjoy now or store cold.

Sanctuary Barrel #1 - Vanilla DBVSOD 2018 - 16.8%
Deth's Tar 2017 aged one year in Woodford Double Oak and a second year in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels with whole vanilla beans. Dry, oaky, potent, with increasing vanilla as it warms. Do tread lightly.
SANCTUARY BARREL #18 - DOUBLE BARREL BILLY LIMITED - 16.0%
Spending its first year in a Woodford Master's Collection barrel before being transferred to a Heaven Hill Bourbon barrel for it's second year of aging. This super-dry and delicately smoky belligerent pugilist of a BA Scotch Ale will warm your insides like nothing else.
Straight Jacket Limited Rye - 15.0%
A unique spin on a classic, this barleywine is born of a single Heaven Hill Rye Straight Jacket barrel blended with V.S.O.J. Straight killer, no filler.
Deth Ryed (Single Barrel) - 15.5%
This barrel of Deth's Tar was only half full when we ran out of beer, so we topped it off with Ryeway to Heaven. We figured you wouldn't mind. Dry yet ample-bodied, this one's is dripping with spirit character from it's year in an exceptionally wet barrel.
Barrel-Aged Masters of War (Single Barrel) - 13.3%
Exiled to a single Whistle Pig bourbon barrels for 14 months, our Maple Imperial Stout has escaped, pushing even more maple, chocolate, and vanilla character to the front of the line. A kiss of sweetness from an addition of 100% pure maple syrup helps round out this rich, aged, and full bodied conqueror.
Nitro Gravedigger Billy - 13.2%
Our Barrel-Aged Scotch Ale is back from the grave. We hit a single keg with some nitro for a smooth creamy mouthfeel atop this Scottish beast. Git aff yer heid n' take doon a wee dram or two!

FAQs
1 ) Will 4-packs make it until the days following the release?
We won’t know that until we see the turnout at the release events, so we’re not able to predict how long each beer will be available. We will announce at the end of the release event if any 4-packs remain.
2 ) What are the limits on four-packs?
Ryeway to Heaven - 2 four-packs
Gravedigger Billy - 3 four-packs
Vanilla Deth - 2 four-packs
3 ) Will the lines be under cover again?
Yes! The line to buy Deep Wood Series cans will once again be underneath our driveway, located at the North end of the building, keeping you out of the elements and a little warmer.
4 ) Where will four-packs be available?
During the release, all Deep Wood Series cans will be sold out of our Shipping & Receiving area, next door to the Taproom at 3350 N. Kedzie Ave. Deth's Tar & Café Deth four-packs will see wide distribution following the release. Please use our Beer Finder to locate a location near you, beginning in late November.
5 ) Will there be food available at the release events?
The Revolution Taproom doesn’t serve food, but we encourage customers to bring their own food, and we’ll have food trucks scheduled to come and serve Rev fans.
6 ) Why doesn't the release begin until 4:00pm?
It takes an army to set up and execute our barrel-aged releases, ensuring that service and lines move quickly. The 4:00pm start time is out of necessity to ensure we have a large enough staff to make your experience enjoyable. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes.
7 ) Is the beer ready to drink now?
Deep Wood Series beers are already aged between 6-36 months (depending on the beer) before we package them. They’re absolutely ready to drink right away, and we don’t recommend piling them on a lonely shelf for years at a time. Seriously - we made these beers for you to enjoy. Bottoms up!
8 ) What is the best by date for Deep Wood Series beers?
We do not provide a best by date on our cans. While the beer may taste great in the future, our aluminum can supplier follows the industry standard and only warranties the integrity of our cans for 12 months.
9 ) Anything else we should know?
To properly serve all of our release guests, we will not be accepting keg returns or pick-up the day of the release. Our taproom will also observing special hours to properly prepare for speedy service. For guests anxious to try the releases, we encourage you to visit a preview party the night before or our brewpub (the day of the release).
