Wednesday January 4, 8–10pm — Owen Stevenson
Indie rock and roll local Owen Stevenson performs with captivating exuberance his contemporary mix of soul, blues, and pop.
Tuesday January 10, 8–10pm — RUCKUS
This Jazz trio led by Rodney Ruckus features Berklee College of Music grads with celebrated performance portfolios. Their sound and skills are often likened to Thelonious Monk, Bill Evans, and Keith Jarrett.
Thursday January 12, 8–10pm — Ross J. Berman
Heavy blues inspirations manifest in the style of Ross J. Berman, Chicago songwriter with influences running deep through Bob Dylan, Langhorn Slim, and Joe Pug. Enjoy his wayward lyrics and harmonica folk sound.
Wednesday January 18, 8–10pm — Jacob Mack
Chicago songwriter Jacob Mack, heading a new wave of the americana/rock sound in Chicago, performs with his trio. Discover how western twang mashes with his city kind of blues.
Wednesday January 25, 8–10pm — Macie Stewart
Celebrated hometown composer and rocker Macie Stewart of HOMME, Marrow, and The Few, backup to Chance the Rapper and The Social Experiment, performs a highly anticipated solo set — catch her live for a rare spotlight on her huge talents.
Thursday February 9, 8–10pm — Lane Beckstrom (LANE) / Rami Atassi
Bassist Lane Beckstrom, former member of Marrow, Kids These Days, and touring bassist for Frank Ocean and Bette Midler, presents his solo electronic project LANE. Opener Rami Atassi, guitarist and composer also from Chicago, performs an experimental noise set to set the tone for a night of fascinating music.
Thursday February 16, 8–10pm — Joe Bordenaro and the Late Bloomers
Energetic garage/surf rock, this rising Chicago performer and his band Joe Bordenaro and the The Late Bloomers bring a robust sound with retro melodies and beach blues energy.
Thursday February 23, 8–10pm — Rich Jones / Sen Moriomoto
Rich Jones, hometown staple in the rising Chicago hip hop scene and former Second City Citizen/Tres Amigo, puts on a show as impressive as he is charismatic. Smooth verse and captivating beats are stacked with pop mentality — all of Chicago loves this guy. Opener Sen Moriomoto is also suited to steal the show, performing his unique style of exceptional saxophone skills over experimental layers and hip hop beats.
