Sun Crusher Crashes Back Toward Earth to Put an End to this Winter.

03.21.18   |   Beer

Sun Crusher is crashing back toward earth to put an end to this Winter once and for all. Celebrate the incumbent warm weather by welcoming back Revolution Brewing’s best new beer of 2017. The Hoppy Wheat Ale is bursting with rays of flowery and citrus aromas, created by Apollo and Amarillo hops followed by a dry-hop blend of Crystal, Amarillo, and Mosaic. A light golden color shines through from the use of Flaked Oats with a malt blend of 2‑row, Red Wheat, and Carapils.

The inspiration for the 2017 innovation stemmed from the installation of the 60.32 KW Solar Energy System at Revolution’s Production Facility. The 200 module system was installed in 2016 to help offset over 50 tons of CO2 annually, taking the brewery’s sustainability efforts to the next level. Last year, the sun rays helped power brewing operations at Revolution by generating over 74,000 KwHr. That’s the approximate electrical use of 7 homes for a year, or 6% of the 1.21 Jigawatts required to power Doc’s time machine from back to the future!

Sun Crusher will be available to pair with warm, sunny days beginning in late March and lasting throughout the entire Summer. Both 6‑packs and draft will be widely distributed throughout Revolution’s entire eight-state footprint. Find it on draft or in cans at our retail partner nearest to you, using the new Revolution Beer Finder.
