CHICAGO’S REVOLUTION BREWING EXPANDS DISTRIBUTION TO MICHIGAN

Aug. 8, 2017 — CHICAGO — Cans of Chicago’s iconic craft beer, Anti-Hero IPA, will soon be landing throughout the state of Michigan. Revolution Brewing, one of the fastest growing breweries in the nation, will distribute its products through the M1 Group beginning August 21st.

We are especially proud to bring our beers to Michigan because my wife Krista grew up there and that’s where we met during college” says Revolution’s founder Josh Deth. That’s where I brewed my first batches of homebrew and got hooked on beer culture .” In addition to its founders, 15 staff members of Revolution hail from Michigan, including 6 of their brewers.

At Revolution, we are dedicated to the cause of consistently brewing high quality, hop-forward beer that anyone can approach,” says Brewery Manager Glenn Allen, originally from Traverse City, MI. Whether you’re a devoted craft drinker or not, we truly believe we have a little something to satisfy everyone’s personal preferences.”

Revolution Brewing will be hosting a series of launch events throughout the state during the week of August 21st. Further details on launch events will be shared via Revolution’s website and social media outlets.

Initial beer offerings include Anti-Hero, Revolution’s flagship IPA, and Mosaic-Hero, which is part of the Hero Series line of specialty IPAs. A special batch of Local Hero is also being brewed exclusively for the Michigan launch, made entirely with hops grown locally at Hop Heads Farms in Hickory Corners, MI which was co-founded by one of Revolution’s early investors. Also available will be seasonal brews beginning with Oktoberfest and later this year, the Deep Wood Series of barrel-aged beers.

Revolution Brewing currently distributes its beer in Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio, Massachusetts, New York and New Jersey. The seven-year-old brewery reached number 46 on the Brewers Association’s list of the top craft brewing companies in the United States earlier this year.

About the M1 Network – Michigan’s Premiere Distribution Network

In 2012, a group of 10 Millercoors distributors aligned to create a seamless distribution network across the state of Michigan. The purpose of the group is to launch, grow and resonate brands
throughout Michigan with our infrastructure, expansive selling teams and strong community ties. The M1 portfolio includes: Constellation, Green Flash, Alpine Brewing Co., Brooklyn, Alaskan Brewing Co., Central Waters, Spencer Brewery, Anchor Steam Brewing Co., Veteran
Beer, Latitude 42 and Griffin Claw.

As President of the M1 Network, I couldn’t be more excited about this partnership both personally and professionally,” explained Kit Wanty-Lambert, VP of Marketing, O&W, Inc. I have known Josh Deth and Rev’s Director of Sales, Donn Bichsel for years having always wanted to the opportunity to show them what the state of Michigan could do. Their brand story and innovation has put them on the map and M1 is here to continue to fuel that growth. Josh had his first (legal drinking age) beer at Ashley’s in downtown Ann Arbor while attending school at the University of Michigan in the early 90’s, it is my pleasure to be able to launch his beer in Michigan where the first chapter in his beer story was written.”
