OKTOBERFEST 2017

We’re moving our 6th annual Oktoberfest celebration to the street this year! All the party details can be found here.

FARM TO FIST

This fall, we are introducing a new Wet Hop Ale called Farm to Fist. Our brewers will be utilizing hops picked at the peak of ripeness, grown just a few hours away at Hop Head Farms in Baroda, MI. The window between the hop harvest and the hops being added to the brew is a short 4 to 5‑hour time span, resulting in a flavorful and crisp brew.

The Wet Hop Ale will be released on Wednesday, September 27. Sixtels of Farm to Fist will be on sale to the public. Keg reservations begin on Monday, September 18. More details on keg reservations will be announced on our website and social media in the near future.

Farm to Fist is a celebration of the annual harvest of our favorite ingredient at Revolution, hops! Normally, the sticky cones are plucked from the vine at the peak of ripeness and immediately dried in a kiln to be preserved and pelletized. This allows us to continue brewing throughout the year. In mid-September, we plan on taking full advantage of our fortunate proximity to Hop Head Farms in Baroda, MI. Five-hundred pounds of carefully selected, fresh Chinook hops will live out an alternative destiny; to be picked and driven directly to our brewery for a hefty dry-hop in their wet form. These hops will be from vine to beer in under four hours to maximize the fresh, green character. Think standing in the middle of a hop field and tearing open a cone to appreciate the pungent, fruity, and dank resins and oils located in the lupulin glands. A level of freshness that can only be replicated once a year and is to be enjoyed with urgency, from Farm to Fist.“
