CROSS OF GOLD NOW IN CANS

The crisp and refreshing Cross of Gold is making its debut in 18 packs of 12oz cans beginning next week. The name of the Golden Ale was inspired by William Jennings Bryan’s speech during the 1896 Democratic Convention in Chicago. Cross of Gold was first brewed in Josh Deth’s basement by Brewmaster Jim Cibak, in June 2009. Since then, it’s been awarded Gold at the Great American Beer Fest, World Beer Cup, and remains a top seller at our Brewpub and Tap Room. An 18 pack of the Golden Ale is a perfect companion for any gathering.

WHAT’S BREWING

ROSA
It’s officially summer in Chicago when Rosa is around! Rosa is our golden ale steeped with 70 pounds of Hibiscus flowers, giving it a slight pink hue. A natural tartness and high drinkability make it the perfect brew to enjoy in the sun.

CITRA HERO
Citra Hero 6‑packs are flying solo in our Hero Series all Summer long. This American IPA was designed to showcase the Citra Hop, using 100% Citra in both the boil and dry-hop, giving it that unmistakable citrusy flavor and aroma.

LEAGUE OF HEROES ISSUE 2 

Anti-Hero rounded up a new crew for the League of Heroes IPA Variety 12-packs. Issue 2 features the debut of Tropic Hero, alongside Amarillo Hero, Crystal Hero, and of courseAnti-Hero. Here’s what our Brewery Manager, Glenn Allen, has to say about our newest Hero. 

“Tropic Hero is a celebration of the distinct experimental hop variety known as HBC 438. Often nicknamed ​“Ron Mexico” after an early recipe written by Russian River’s Vinne Cilurzo due to it’sroots in the neomexicanus subspecies of hops. 

It has a wide array of aromas and flavors including mango, coconut, pineapple, lime, grapefruit, along with subtle pleasant herbal notes to keep you in the vacation state of mind. Citra and Mosaic join in the beach party to amplify this super tropical summer sipper.”
